Air Quality Testing
Mold spore trap tests are the most common type of mold test in the industry. Typically 75 liters of air are pulled through a small cassette. This cassette is sent to a lab for analysis. The purpose of this test is to find mold levels floating around in the air.
Tape Lift
Tape testing is similar to mold spore trap testing only to collect the mold sample, a sticky substrate is pressed against visible mold on a hard surface to collect the sample. A lab technician will examine the sample to determine the type of mold on the sample but quantifying the amount of mold in a given area is difficult based on tape samples.
